To ensure no student is left behind, we have a wide variety of high-quality qualifications that cater to students who can only study part-time, or via the correspondence route. Anyone is eligible if they have a computer with stable internet access, as well as the ability to access the Learner Management System to post items (like assessments, etc).
Our unique qualifications fully encapsulate everything a student studying alone will require, including ways in which to engage and receive assistance from lecturers.
Potchefstroom Academy part-time/correspondence qualification:
Interior Design and Decorating: Our Higher Certificate in Interior Design and Decorating (NQF level 5) 2-year part-time qualification is ideal for those creative students with a keen eye for aesthetics. From the comfort of your home, you will learn to sensibly remodel a space with striking colours, materials, furniture, textiles, art, and other sourced decorative objects.
The study content is delivered in easy-to-follow study notes, that teaches you the history of décor and styles through to the décor application of interior finishes.
You will be qualified to advise clients on interior living spaces. If you are interested in the field of decor and design as a career opportunity, this qualification will open up a world of possibilities as Interior Decorator; Décor-, Colour- and Furnishings Consultant, Soft Furnishing and Upholstery Advisor, a Showroom Assistant, or a Buyer for Décor chains.
SAAHST part time/correspondence qualifications
Project Management: The Project Manager qualification (NQF Level 5) which is available part-time is a two-year qualification that prepares students for a career in Management. All businesses function through the completion of projects, from more simple tasks as designing a new website, upgrading your software or moving from one office to another. To even more complex projects such as building a new hospital, programming new software programs and re-designing core business processes. Knowing how to successfully manage a project from start to finish can be the difference between success and failure for any business.
This qualification prepares you for a career in project management and project administration. It provides you with a strong foundation in project management principles in alignment with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and PRINCE2 accepted project management practices.

Our correspondence and distance qualifications allow access to high-quality tertiary-level education without geographical constraints. It provides a qualification to working students who cannot attend classes during regular office hours but who are looking to develop their skills in their own time. While our full-time qualifications allow students to have hands-on access to our on-site facilities, our distance/correspondence learners will not miss out on having equal access to their facilitators via the internet, telephone, e-mail, and through our online learning portal.
