THERAPEUTIC REFLEXOLOGY

Diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology (NQF level 6) – 2 years full time.

Overview

Pressure point massage is applied on reflex points of the hands or feet in order to stimulate the body to heal itself. This process of activating self-healing will reduce pain, discomfort and imbalances throughout the body.

The feet, hands, ears and face are considered a map of the whole body and corresponding organs. The corresponding reflexes to the organs are stimulated by means of pressure application using specific thumb and finger manipulation. It is not a massage and it is not a substitute for medical treatment. It is a therapeutic way to relieve stress and effective treatment to achieve optimum health.

The qualities required of a Therapeutic Reflexologist are someone who can listen attentively, show empathy and who enjoys working with people.
