Potchefstroom Academy, a Higher Education provider, was established in 1981 by Tina Scholtz. The Academy has since grown into one of its leading private tertiary institutions, offering Photography, Interior Design and Decorating, Somatology (Beauty Therapy), Therapeutic Massage, Therapeutic Aromatherapy, and Therapeutic Reflexology.
In 2003, SAAHST, a Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution that provides expert training in Hairdressing, Business Management Studies, and Nail Technology, was acquired. SAAHST also offers career-focused short courses explicitly targeting updating and extending your skills. In addition, SAAHST is an accredited National Artisan Moderation Body’s (NAMB) Trade Test Centre for Hairdressing.
